Think Smart, Be Kind

Children's Mental Health Awareness Week

Children's Mental Health Awareness week takes place this year from Monday 7th February to Friday 11th February and is designed to shine a spotlight on the importance of children and young people’s mental health. This year’s theme is  Growing Together.

Growing Together is about growing emotionally and finding ways to help each other grow. Challenges and setbacks can help us to grow and adapt and trying new things can help us to move beyond our comfort zone into a new realm of possibility and potential. However, emotional growth is often a gradual process that happens over time, and sometimes we might feel a bit ‘stuck’.

For Children's Mental Health Week 2022, we will be encouraging children to consider how they have grown and how they can help others to grow.

On Friday the 11th February we would like to end the week by inviting children to 'Dress to Express'. Children can:

  • Wear their favourite colour!

  • Wear a colour to express how they feel!

  • Wear something that makes them feel happy!

  • Wear something that expresses who they are!

No money donation is required, just a donation to your child's wellbeing bank!
