Friends of Walkeringham School
Welcome to the Friends section of our website.
Committee members; Debbie Cutts (Chair), Jenny Ellson (Treasurer), Ellen Armstrong (Secretary), Lori Shemilt.
Volunteers: Louise Fahy, Karen Hainsworth, Charlotte Newcombe.
We are a group of parents/grandparents/carers of children in school. We organise fund-raising events for children and adults throughout the school year. All of our profit goes directly into projects for the school. In the past we have raised money for various projects such as to support reading schemes in school, fund the coach for the pantomime to reduce the cost to parents and buy the children an ice cream while they are there!
And we have great news! We are now a registered charity! This will allow us to apply for more funding to reach our goals for a school
We are recruiting!
We have an opening for secretary starting in January 2025. If you are a great communicator, can work well as a team and would like to valuably contribute to our school, please email us at friends@walkeringham.notts.sch.uk.
We are also looking for more committee member and volunteers so if you have some time, or ideas, and would like to be involved with supporting Walkeringham Primary School through Friends, please contact a Friend or email friends@walkeringham.notts.sch.uk. Also get in touch if you know any local businesses, big or small that would like to offer sponsorship.
