At Walkeringham Primary School, the safety and well-being of our students is our top priority. We are committed to creating a safe, nurturing environment where every student can thrive and feel valued.
Our school follows robust safeguarding procedures and works closely with external agencies to ensure that our safeguarding practices meet the highest standards. We promote a culture where staff and students understand their responsibilities in safeguarding and are encouraged to report any concerns without fear of retribution.
We have a dedicated Safeguarding Team led by our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), who ensures all staff are trained regularly in safeguarding regulations and are aware of how to act in the best interests of the children and young people in our care.
All staff, volunteers, and visitors to the school undergo comprehensive checks, including Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks, to ensure that all safeguarding policies are adhered to and that our students are safe at all times.
