Welcome Friends!

Committee members; Jenny Ellson (Treasurer), Ellen Armstrong (Secretary), Lori Shemilt.

Volunteers: Louise Fahy, Mark Johnson.

We are a group of parents/grandparents/carers of children in school who organise fund-raising events for children and adults throughout the school year which contributes to projects for the school. In the past we have raised money for the shelter in the playground which will soon be a nature shelter, funding the coach for school trips to reduce the cost to parents, and purchasing musical instruments.

As are also a registered charity, we are able to apply for funding and we have been lucky enough to be awarded £9958.59 from YOR4Good which will go towards renovating our EYFS outdoor area, and £1500 from Tesco Stronger Starts which funded our new reading shelter.  We’d like to say a big thank you to both YOR4Good and Tesco for supporting us.

We are recruiting!

We are looking for more committee member and volunteers so if you have some time, or ideas, and would like to be involved with supporting Walkeringham Primary School through Friends, please talk to a committee member or volunteer or email friends@walkeringham.notts.sch.uk. Also get in touch if you know any local businesses, big or small that would like to offer sponsorship.
