Emotional Health and Wellbeing

At Walkeringham Primary School, we believe that the wellbeing of every child is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where all children feel valued, respected, and confident to be themselves.

We recognise the importance of supporting both emotional and physical wellbeing, helping children to develop self-confidence, build positive relationships, and learn strategies to manage challenges in a healthy and positive way. Through our caring school community, we promote kindness, cooperation, resilience, and mindfulness, ensuring that every child feels listened to, supported, and encouraged to thrive.

Our Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) curriculum plays an important role in helping children develop the knowledge, skills, and understanding they need to navigate the world around them. Through age-appropriate learning, children explore topics that support their physical health, mental wellbeing, relationships, safety, and personal development, preparing them to make positive choices and become confident, responsible individuals.
